River Cottage
River Cottage is a high quality barn conversion offering one double ensuite bedroom and a twin bedroom. A double sofa bed in the open plan living area provides sleeping accommodation for up to 2 further guests. The maximum occupancy is 6 guests, excluding infants. Two patio areas, large lawn and a cute child-sized shepherd's hut with play kitchen inside.
Although furnished and decorated in a modern and contemporary style, the cottage was designed to preserve elements of its former life so you will find character features such as a vaulted ceiling, exposed stone wall and wood burning stove in the main open plan living area. The well-equipped kitchen is a generous space at the far end and guests love the way everyone can stay connected when food is being prepared and enjoyed. In summer months, the French doors to the patio area can be opened to extend the living space into the private garden.
A small flight of 5 stairs leads to a landing and access to the two bedrooms: the master bedroom with en suite shower-room and the twin bedroom which can accommodate a travel cot if required (which we are happy to provide at no extra cost).
The main bathroom is next to the stairs and is a good size. It offers a wash basin, toilet and full-sized bath with shower over.
There is private, secluded off-road parking right outside the cottage with ample space for 3 or 4 cars. There is an EV charging point on site which is available at an additional cost. Please see our Terms and Conditions for details.
The kitchen is equipped with an integrated double oven, 4 ring ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, microwave Oven, fridge (with small freezer compartment), dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is also a cafetiere and a range of child-friendly plates, bowls, beakers and cutlery. High chair available free of charge. We provide a starter supply of tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, detergent, cooking oil, washing up liquid, handsoap, toilet roll and kitchen roll.
The living area has a 55 inch Smart Freesat TV with access to catch up TV and your own subscription TV services (Now tv, Netflix). Excellent Wifi throughout the cottage.
A hair drier is provided in the master bedroom.
